Klee is an intimate restaurant with twelve seats, located at Kipdorp 3 in the heart of Antwerp. The kitchen is small, the atmosphere lively, and the experience is deliberately kept personal — because at Klee, we believe that a meal should be as unique as the guest experiencing it. Founded on a deep conviction that food should be seasonal and honest, that philosophy forms the core of everything we do. The name and the approach reflect a conscious choice for small-scale operation: better twelve satisfied guests than a soulless, full room. Klee is not a restaurant where you rush through — it is a place where you take your time, and where time is taken for you.
At the heart of Klee is a daily changing tasting menu of eight to ten courses, driven entirely by the seasons and the availability of ingredients from our regular farmers. We do not determine what ends up on the table, but the harvest of the day does — and that gives every visit its own character. The kitchen works with 95% local products, sourced from small growers in the Antwerp area and the Westhoek, and translates these raw materials into dishes that are both honest and refined. For dinner, the menu is €89 per person; the lunch menu is available on Thursdays and Fridays for €45. We serve wines by the glass, allowing guests to explore freely throughout the evening, or choose from our wine list featuring European producers who work with respect for their land and their people.
Klee plays a conscious role in Antwerp's local food and ecosystem by consistently choosing small, independent producers over large-scale suppliers. This choice is not a marketing ploy, but a daily practice: the menu only exists once the farmer has delivered, and it changes along with what nature allows. By working directly with growers from the region, we not only strengthen the quality on the plate but also the viability of small-scale agriculture in Flanders and the Westhoek. The wine list extends this same approach to Europe: we select only winemakers who work according to organic, biodynamic, permaculture, or regenerative principles. In this way, every meal at Klee becomes an expression of a broader commitment — to the soil, to the producer, and to a food chain worth supporting.
95% of our ingredients come from small farmers near Antwerp and the Westhoek — producers we know personally and whose methods we trust. The availability of their harvest literally determines our menu day to day, meaning that traceability at Klee is not a label but a structural reality. The wine list features European winemakers who cultivate their land with care for their environment, whether they choose organic certification, biodynamic methods, permaculture, or regenerative farming. For larger groups or private events, Klee offers a semi-private cellar for up to six people, where the same attention to detail and personal approach take center stage. We believe that good food begins with good relationships — with the soil, with the people who work it, and with the guests at the table.
