Capucine à Table was born from a deep passion for nature, ecology, and sharing the joy of plants. Located in Rosières, on the outskirts of Brussels, our project aims to reconnect consumers with the land and the seasons by cultivating nearly two hundred varieties of aromatic herbs and edible flowers. We have chosen to work exclusively by hand, from sowing to harvest, in order to preserve the vitality of the soil and guarantee environmentally friendly production. Our approach is rooted in a commitment to transparency and responsibility, banning all chemical inputs and pesticides. Each plant is cultivated with care, respecting its natural rhythm, to offer authentic and meaningful products. We firmly believe in the importance of the connection between the land, the producer, and the plate, and we are committed to conveying this philosophy through everything we do. This quest for meaning, quality, and respect for life guides every step of our work.
Our selection is distinguished by a wide variety of fresh herbs and flowers, harvested to order to guarantee unparalleled freshness. We also offer handcrafted products made from our harvests, such as dried herbs and flowers, herbal teas, flavored salts or personalized drinks. Drying is carried out gently and passively in the field to best preserve the aromas, colors, and properties of the plants. Each blend is custom-made, whether to enhance a birthday cake, flavor a salad, or brighten up an everyday dish. We pride ourselves on working closely with our clients, both individuals and professionals, to meet their specific desires and needs. Our range evolves with the seasons, reflecting our commitment to biodiversity and the richness of the local terroir. By choosing our products, our clients choose authenticity, quality, and respect for life.
Beyond production, Capucine à Table is actively committed to promoting local culinary heritage and passing on traditional skills. We regularly organize workshops and themed tours to offer a behind-the-scenes look at our work, introduce people to the cultivation of edible flowers, and raise awareness about the importance of responsible eating. These opportunities for exchange allow us to forge strong bonds with the community, share our passion, and encourage everyone to adopt the simple techniques of gardening and plant-based cooking. Our approach helps to revitalize the regional gastronomic ecosystem by offering chefs, artisans, and individuals rare, local, and high-quality products. We are proud to participate in the rediscovery of forgotten flavors and to support a healthier, more creative, and more environmentally friendly diet. Every action we take aims to strengthen the local community and promote small-scale agriculture that is meaningful and fosters a sense of community.
Our farming and processing practices are based on trusted partnerships and a rigorous selection of raw materials, exclusively sourced from our own fields. We prioritize short supply chains and direct sales, whether through farm-direct pickup. We use only natural compost to enrich the soil, and every step is carried out by hand, without heavy machinery or chemicals. This artisanal and responsible approach allows us to guarantee complete traceability of our products, from seed to plate. We are also committed to recognizing the value of craftsmanship, as evidenced by our awards and our participation in initiatives that promote local artisans. Through these choices, we affirm our commitment to building a sustainable, transparent, and biodiversity-friendly agricultural model.
