NatuurPlus strives to bring together high-quality initiatives that focus on nature, the environment, and people in all their diversity and impact, told through their compelling and authentic stories. You will find ecological, local, and responsibly produced products there, as well as an open house in Oostwinkel, Lievegem, where both the curious layperson and the professional are welcome. Everything revolves around healthy and natural living with plants and bees, and the conviction that together, we can achieve more than just organic. All products are organically certified, and the operation is supported by producers, teachers, volunteers, care institutions, and socio-cultural associations, in a respectful balance between people and society.
100% local. All raw materials for its own product lines are grown and processed locally, without imports. This translates into plant-based products for food and natural personal care, ranging from herbal powders to a caffeine-free coffee alternative based on organic barley, yacon root, and burdock root. Distributors, retailers, and processors can order consumer and bulk packaging via the webshop. The natural store opens its doors every fourth Sunday of the month—a shop centered around plants, food, and natural care with a story. The 'Plukaandeel' brings together an active community around picking, processing, and using plants. Furthermore, the training branch offers practice-oriented programs in herbalism, aromatherapy, herbal processing, natural food, and apitherapy, with guidance for those wishing to pursue these commercially.
NatuurPlus formulates a local answer to international products. What is usually imported from afar is rethought here based on what the local region can grow and process, such as the coffee alternative consisting entirely of local crops. In this way, the organization builds fully transparent and sustainable chains between producer and customer, in which staple foods are produced locally as much as possible. Moreover, by passing on knowledge, NatuurPlus shapes a new generation of herbalists, herb processors, and makers, and strengthens the short plant-based chain from within. The social dimension is just as essential as the ecological one: the operation offers room for engagement ranging from volunteer work to paid employment, in collaboration with care institutions. Thus, a place is growing in the Meetjesland where knowledge, product, and community nourish each other.
NatuurPlus collaborates with Linked Farm, the cooperative platform that organizes short-chain logistics, thereby efficiently bringing local products to shops and processors. Additionally, product lines are developed with local growers and processors, training programs rely on a network of teachers and experts, and operations are supported by volunteers, care institutions, and socio-cultural associations. The products reach the customer through like-minded channels such as Food Teams and cooperative and ecological shops. Each of these connections stems from the same conviction: a chain is only sustainable if everyone is visible within it and receives their fair share.
